Languor of spring
Spring is the season of love’s awakening,but also of the old passions that we put a little apart. In short, like every season I have that languor caused by bassfishing. Every year I try to take this languor off from me , but as an incurable disease it is always inside me, lurking.
Maybe because it is the period where we can catch the best fishes or maybe because I just like to spend on a bank of a river or of a quarry the first warm days of the year,but the fact is that every spring I get this disease of the “green fish”.
So, after few timid exits with poor results, I accept an invitation from a friend to spend few hours of fishing with him. I avail myself of this opportunity to know his wonderful family and his future bride; In short, I combine the useful with the pleasant and I gladly accept.
Accustomed to a more “salty”sinning – I made some efforts to
read the situation and the water. I will not hide that I was a little pensive. I was looking for the right solution, or,rather, I was trying to figure out where stationed the bass. It wasn’t easy because it still was a new spot for me. I had to experiment different techniques until I had some good results, but, as the saying goes ” If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. ”
At the beginning I tried with the classic Jig and shrimp flipped under the shore just before the shrubs and the trees. I was looking for a formidable bite to understand if I was fishing in the right way, but unfortunately only a little fish came to keep me company. Maybe it was time to change my strategy.
Reaction fishing: at first with a small jerk (Molix Finder 110) casted near a rocky shore,to warm up, but unfortunately even this choice did not bring the desired results.
I moved to less deep and more muddy waters. I saw that about twenty metres far from me there were islets of reeds. So I searched in my bag looking for that red bait that in the past gave me some nice results. It was of the right weight, perfect to “shoot” it away. The one with those effective vibrations in muddy water conditions . I was looking for my MOLIX Lipless Crank in MAD CRAW colouration .
I love to feel the vibration of this type of lure on the rod and I love to hear the sound it emits thanks to the tungsten spheres housed in the ABS shell; a lure that even in salty waters can offer wonderful catches so beloved by myself: the seabasses.Did this lure and this technique work or not? I must say that the intuition was spot on. Probably the fishes entered into activity and using a lure that stimulate them gave me notable catches and nice souvenir photos.
I was and I am particularly pleased that I catched again some nice “green fishes”. Many years have passed since I catched my first bass and since I travelled many years around the world to fish it, but I still remember something about this kind of fishing! Well come on, let’s be modest!
The morning goes fast and-as is tradition in venice-the morning ends up in a classic bar drinking Spritz and eating the local delights: meatballs, boiled eggs and so on and so forth.

The LOVER SPINNERBAIT was born from an idea of Mike Iaconelli, developed in close collaboration with the technical staff of Molix since 2014. From the tests of the first prototypes to the development of the final product (during the visit of Mike to Italy , honoured guest of Molix, in October 2015). The stages of the research and the development of this product have committed Molix for more than two years. Desired standards and goals have been achieved.
Italy is imagination and design. Italy is also the technology and ability to do synthesis of many talents. In this case the capabilities of the individuals, the know-how of a great professionist just like “Ike” that shared his knowledge with the company for the development of this innovative product.
Note that the MOLIX LOVER SPINNERBAIT has an optimal trim in the water and can be retrieved in various ways: slow, fast or with the “change direction” typical of Iaconelli; you can appreciate the attractiveness of the lure while it is sinking,you can catch the noise (Original Blades Clinking Sound) that the blades produce hitting each other depending on the intensity of the retrieval.
It is beyond the expectation of a commercial success: it is pure passion.
The MOLIX LOVER SPINNERBAIT has a triple horizontal blade, in water produce vibrations,sounds and flash unique compared to other conventional spinnerbaits.
