Review Fioretto Speciale MFS-SW-610G Medium Light

During the years, MOLIX has accustomed us to spoiling ourselves with innumerable innovations, especially in the case of the baits.
In 2018 the company from Bologna decided to invest a lot in the rods segment, enriching its own range with some new models destined to many kinds of predators and also restyling some models that are already present in the catalog. Probably the greatest effort has been made to give life to a new series of rods that, due to the construction features and the precious materials, they will certainly be top quality products, we are talking about the FIORETTO SPECIALE.

Two years of work have involved the staff and technicians to offer to the most demanding spinning angler a tool with unique performances and an innovative and captivating look. In 2018 the proposed models by Molix are 10, both for freshwater and saltwater fishing. My passion for sea bass fishing and for all the medium and large predators of the coast has seen me participating in the last stages of the tests of the model dedicated mainly to those who use medium to large baits and want to catch challenging predators like bluefish and sea bass, also of large dimensions.
My first tests date back to last summer when I received the prototype of the 6.10″
medium light rod. This tool is, in my opinion, very versatile, suitable for both offshore and lagoon fishing, as in my case. This rod is certainly not afraid to fight fish also of big size, I was really looking for a rod “multi-purpose”, that could manage challenging fish.
It was the best moment of the year for sea bass fishing and could I have a better opportunity to to test this rod?? After the previous set-ups, it was time to test it the right way and understand its merits and qualities. Given the particular conformation of the Venetian lagoon and the use of various types of baits, it was the perfect field to put it to the test and immediately the feeling was maximum.
It has a great ability to handle small to medium baits as well as big long jerk baits, it has excellent affinity even with medium-sized WTD and Poppers, maybe I had just found the tool I was looking for. A quality over all that amazed me is the great precision during the casting, fruit of the high quality of the material with which it was built and of the particularly reactive body.
I must admit that after almost thirty years of spinning perhaps for the first time the feeling that I felt while I was fishing was totally different. It’s difficult for me to write it down but I can assure you that this is a very effective tool under all profiles, strength, precision during the casting, great ability to handle various kinds of baits and last, but not less important, a great power reserve.
Now the sea bass fishing season here in the northern Adriatic is close, soon the first sea bass will enter the lagoon after having spent the winter in the open sea, even the bluefish with the first spring warmth will make their appearance and what better opportunity to use this rod in the best way!!!!
I cannot wait to be able to put it to the test, maybe with some nice bluefish or even better with our loved sea bass…
